Carrefour Casbeno — If you want something very close, walkable. Keep an eye on the prices.

Coop — For value and quality. Good selection of Italian wines and fresh local cheeses, rarely crowded and pleasantly bright. We go on Sundays, when they take 10% off the whole shop.

Esselunga — For the widest choice. Handy if you are shopping on your way in from the motorway. We use it on weekdays.

Carrefour Masnago — Open at night too. A little pricey, but excellent for emergencies.

Bread

Panettiere Civelli is open mornings only. We go there for one thing in particular: their bocconcini rolls, which we are greedy about.
