Casbeno, your neighbourhood

Casbeno is the central district of Varese where you will be staying. In the local dialect, people born here are called casbenàt — which is where this house takes its name.

If you want to see the most authentic side of the neighbourhood, the kind of place where the casbenàt still gather to play cards and make a cheerful racket, then take your time and go to the circolino, the neighbourhood social club, and order yourself a Spritz. It is not a tourist experience and nobody will treat it as one. That is exactly the point.

Getting your bearings

You are a short walk from the Varese Casbeno railway station, fifteen minutes on foot from the historic centre, and a few minutes by car from Lake Varese. The UNESCO Sacro Monte and the Campo dei Fiori hills are right above you.
